“BSN Open Consortium Blockchain” brings major breakthroughs to China’s blockchain ecology

On September 27, the Blockchain Service Network (hereinafter referred to as “BSN”) Dev Alliance and relevant partners held the global launch ceremony of “BSN Open Consortium Blockchain” in Beijing. “BSN Open Consortium Blockchain” will be based on the nodes of BSN’s domestic public cities, and through the licensed transformation of the public chain technology, it will become an “open Consortium Blockchain” deployed in the BSN ecology and subject to supervision. The project aims to further promote the healthy and orderly development of blockchain technology in a legal and compliant way in China, help developers to develop, deploy and run various blockchain applications in a low-cost and efficient manner, and realize convenient interactions between chains, so as to keep China in a leading position in the development tide of the global blockchain industry.
BSN is a cross-cloud service, cross-portal and cross-underlying framework global infrastructure network, which is jointly initiated and established by the State Information Center, China Mobile Communications Group, China UnionPay and Beijing Reddate Tech. It is used to deploy and run all kinds of blockchain applications. And it is is the world’s largest underlying service environment for blockchain. At present, more than 120 public city nodes have been established globally.
The Open Consortium Blockchain can be regarded as a public chain technology, which increases the permission control of nodes, and cancels the mechanism of paying GAS with virtual currency, thus forming the form of a consortium chain. Under the premise of legal compliance and supervision, it will make the blockchain ecology in China more perfect and vibrant.

“In the first year, BSN Open Consortium Blockchain will be free for developers to use”, Gao Cao, the relevant person in charge of FireChain Tech, revealed this important information in his speech. The launch ceremony also revealed the first eight underlying frameworks to join the BSN Open Consortium Blockchain: Polkadot, Tezos, Algorand, Cosmos, Ethereum, Huobi Chain, Nervos and IRISnet. The name of each frame will be named after the Chinese city after the technical transformation, and the original name shall not be used.
